This smoked paprika, made from ground Capsicum pepper by El Rey de la Vera, (D.O. La Vera) in south-west Spain, is made using a traditional drying process with the smoke produced by wood burning using Oak. This method was originated by monks in the 15C, and to this day, the region of La Vera is renowned for the quality of this product.
